How You Set Core Values To Live the Life You Truly Want

There has been talk about Vision Boarding and Goal Setting for years. Danielle LaPorte brought in Core Desired Feelings. You name it, I’ve tried it. And nothing stuck, nothing made a difference or made me feel as if I was evolving. Until I met Jacki Carr and learned about Core Values. And yes, it took me a few years to really get it but once you do, boy, does it feel good.

Core values are just that-values that you hold near and dear to your heart. Values that make you who you are on the inside. When we are deeply rooted in our core values, our lives can flow seamlessly (ish). Our whys are effortless. Our legacies are inevitable. And this goes for personal as well as business or family. You can take values and make it whatever you’d like. We can create balance AND boundaries through our values. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I view values as words of how I truly want to feel and be guided in my life. How do you view values? It is personal so your definition can be TOTALLY different from mine. Cool, right? Values can define our personal lives, our businesses, finances, family-you can use them to help cultivate a deeper meaning to life, in all areas of life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How do you find your values? Take a deep breath. And another one. And really tap into what makes you happy. Not the ‘should bes’ but the ‘I ams’. I am connected to spirit, I am connected to simplicity. If we focus on the values we already cultivate, it is a lot easier to grow. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ll share mine:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
/Personal/Spirit, Knowledge, Connection, Nature, Health, Simplicity ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
/Business/Service, Honesty (gosh, so big!), Gratitude, Connected Community, Knowledge (yup, I am a nerd and it overlaps haha) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What are your values? Choose 1 or a few and share them with me in the comments. Share them with 2 other people. Keep them visible so that you can tap back into them and remember the core values you want to bring into your everyday life. It is a beautiful way to connect to your growth, don’t you think?
